RayCity Championship WCG finals 2010 Singapore

Congratulations to the ForsakenOnes as they outraced JAV in the WCG finals to win RayCitySEA’s first ever prize money tournament.
ForsakenOnes’ path to the finals took them past Club Visionary and JAV, two very strong teams in RayCitySEA.

JAV came through after being knocked into the losers’ brackets by the ForsakenOnes, dominating all their races thereafter by creaming competition teams including 2Xtreme and NoLicense.

Finals was played in a set format. Since JAV came up from the losers’ bracket, they had to win 2 sets to become champions while ForsakenOnes only needed to win one set.
Each set was 3 rounds with the default 1st racing map as Track 17.

Set 1 was won by JAV and the result was the same as when the two teams met earlier in the day for the first 2 rounds. But this time JAV manage to win the decisive 3rd round at Track 23 to take the first set.

The deciding set started the same with each team taking one win. As the ForsakenOnes lost the 2nd round, they have the pick for the last race.
The track selected was the default track 17 for their final battle, which was quite predictable as they have been doing very well at the default track throughout the whole tournament.

The final race was really close with the championship on the line. ForsakenOnes were rewarded for the hardwork and training time spent on Track 17 as they managed to edge out JAV for the win!
